EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), developed by Francine Shapiro, PhD., is a powerful method of psychotherapy that helps people with many kinds of psychological distress. EMDR is a highly researched therapy that facilitates the release of emotional trauma and negative patterns, held in the neurological circuits of the brain. The Right and Left side of the brain is activated in alternating patterns while processing distressing memories or triggers that allows the brain to naturally release and integrate new information without risk of re-traumatization.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is an innovative Mindfulness based brain/body psychotherapy developed by David Grand, PhD. Brainspotting helps clients access, process, release and overcome trauma stored in the deep regions of the sub-cortical brain. Due to this unique approach, unlike other forms of talk therapy, Brainspotting goes beyond the “thinking” brain and activates release from the area of the brain that stores the trauma. Brainspotting goes to the source and thus results in much more rapid resolution than many other approaches.

Hypnosis

Clinical hypnosis can be defined as an altered state of consciousness, awareness or perception. Hypnosis is a highly relaxed state in which the client’s conscious and subconscious mind is focused and receptive to therapeutic suggestion. Clinical Hypnosis is used to treat physical or psychological problems such as habit control, weight control, phobias, alcoholism, anxiety, and more.

Mindfulness Based Therapy

Mindfulness Based Therapy borrows ideas from both Buddhism and Western psychology. To be mindful is to wake up, recognize what’s happening in the present moment. Mindfulness techniques help people change their RELATIONSHIP to suffering from one of attachment to non-attachment, allowing a person to learn a skill of becoming less reactive to distressing situations, thoughts, feelings and body sensations. Mindfulness shows us how we can experience difficult circumstances yet still stay grounded in the reality of the moment.

Personal Coaching

Personal Development Coaching (PDC) is provided by a professional who has been trained to assist people in moving from where they are to where they want to be. It covers including helping people identify ways to increase overall happiness, confidence, health, mental well-being, spiritual development, and more. Clients who seek PDC crave change, know where they want to be, and are open to discovering inner resources to move them forward in life. They are willing to take risks in the form of strategic action with the support of the coaching professional.
