Introduction

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope this launching of my very first Newsletter finds you well and enjoying the return of Spring. I wanted to just give you a brief introduction to what you can expect in the future, from these timely, fascinating and practical articles, that I will be submitting on a regular basis.

What kind of topics will you see? I have a variety of professional interests that range from innovative therapies that have been developed in recent years to fascinating stories that come from my work, and others, on the new brain studies and how this knowledge is being used to help people in so many ways.

I have other interests as well, like how Eastern Psychology and Spiritual Studies are not only changing the structure of the brain, but how you can incorporate these practices in everyday life. I am interested in how we parent and how to interact with children to teach them how their brain, body, mind and emotions work together in an effort to prepare both parents and children, to better deal with an increasingly complex world.

I am fascinated by the field of Clinical Hypnosis and how we can use the deeper part of our mind/brain system to deal with everything from anxiety, depression, trauma, physical pain, recovery from illness, fears and phobias, and achieving our goals and being more in charge of our reactions.

I am pleased to announce I am currently the only therapist and the very first certified in Illinois, in a powerful and effective innovative therapy called Brainspotting. You can read more about this approach, developed by David Grand, PhD., on my website at nozickacenter.com, where you can see links that explain this fascinating and wonderfully healing new therapy, that I will be talking more about.

Last but not least, I will be writing articles on communication in relationships including how to better deal with conflict, how to listen effectively, the importance of empathy and how to cultivate it, and how Mindfulness based practices can enhance intimacy in all our relationships. I figure that’s enough for at least a years worth of Newsletters!

So, if you have a keen interest in self-improvement, increasing consciousness, becoming more skillful as a person, improving your relationships, achieving your goals, and living a more fulfilled life with increased mastery over your strategies in dealing with your internal and external world, stay tuned for these fascinating and thought provoking articles appearing in the near future!
